Choose the right match record
Read both teams, fixture date and competition. A score from a previous meeting can remain visible in search results or saved images. Use the current competition record when describing an actual match.
Understand the terms before comparing numbers
Play may be waiting to start or resume. The latest score can remain visible during that period. Do not announce a final outcome solely because a delay has lasted a long time or the page has not updated.
Keep the latest status with the score

- Confirm the teams, match date and competition before interpreting a score.
- Read the innings label, runs, wickets and overs together. Check whether the display says live, innings break or result.
